A perfect tutorial. The order of some of the screens has changed since this was released but overall it's still excellent.

An excellent tutorial. Your voice has just the right pitch and your delivery is measured and easy to comprehend Would that all online tuts were as good as this. There's an old writer's adage that goes: 'Don't write the stuff that people skip.' What you do is 'Don't say the cluttered stuff that people don't listen to.' Congratulations!

Thanks! Between this and your USB video, I was able to clone my 256GB WIN8.1 system to my 1TB SSD (advanced mode). 15 minutes to clone and then move the sata cable from D to C and I'm off and running. That's insane. I feel a bit jilted not spending days loading OS, update, reboot, load office, update, reboot, it really seems too good to be true. Time to celebrate with a beer!

Well-done, thanks.

The whole time I wanted to push the laptop screen back a little since it's at an odd angle! (ha)

Thanks man, this video helped me. I have one question. Is it possible to clone and restore an ubuntu install to another computer (different hardware) and boot it up from there?

When saving a partition to an image, will it destroy any data on the target drive? I would think not, but wanted to make sure first. Thanks!
EDIT: I think you answered my question in the vid @ 5:30 lol.

I'm cloning my current 256gb ssd card to a 1tb ssd card that is connected to USB card. Once I transfer (clone) onto the 1tb ssd can I then just swap them out? Are there any different steps other than what you demonstrated in the video?
