In 2021, ANYONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE A GUITAR ! So here's a comprehensive guide to guitar making for anyone who's always dreamed of building a guitar from scratch, no matter if you already know your way around woodworking or not.

So, you've watched part 1 and then decided to buy the tools, the wood, and maybe part of the hardware. You’ve also printed the plans, and now you're sitting there, wondering what to do with it, with your friends and family silently disapproving of your new choice of hobby (bird watching wasn’t that much fun anyway).
Well now is time to prove them wrong, as I’m going to show you exactly what to do with it !

This is part two of a 4 parts series. To sum it up:
Part 1: everything you need to know and buy (a must-watch if you don't know anything about guitar making)
Part 2: first part of the construction guide
Part 3: second and last part of the construction guide
Part 4: how to use the tools if you’ve never touched a single woodworking tool in your life

Important notes: everything is millimeters, and when I say “mil”, I do mean “mm”, it’s just that I have the hardest time trying to say the word millimeter :)

My god dude... you are absolutely fantastic!!! I am professional musician and teacher, at the start of my career, playing for more than 17 years, and building was such a dream of mine. Now i have to guts to actually start it, by following your tips and guide. Can’t wait for you to finish the third part, so i can see the whole picture, write myself a nice list, go shopping and start :) Keep this up, you are an amazing craftsman and luckily, a wonderful teacher! We need more people like you :D The biggest hugs, and “thank you”-s to you Sir!

Years ago I built my first guitar with only hand tools and is not very easy to make but is sure is rewarding.

You are my new favorite person. The solutions you are capable of coming up with as you go are mesmerizing in their simplicity, and efficiency. I love your tutorial and I intend to one day follow it and try to make my own guitar

I've been watching this video every night for two weeks. It's the most satisfying guitar building video ever. The editing is so cool it makes me feel warm and cozy and a little bit sleepy. I just love the vibe of it. Btw, I'm building my first guitar thanks to this series

I discovered this video last winter and started taking notes and slowly gathering parts and tools. Tomorrow I will be gluing the fretboard to my first neck build. I had zero woodworking experience before watching this video, but it gave me the confidence to try. My neck is not perfect but I feel confident in saying that it does not look like the first time I built a neck from scratch. Thank you for posting this video series and giving someone with zero woodworking experience, the confidence to build a guitar from scratch. Now to start watching video part 3 on repeat.

man this is an emotional rollercoster ( i'm at that stage where i really really need to focus for my exams and the driving test but i really want to build my own telecaster altho i have little money(since i haven't been able to work the past 17 years of my live, no space and two left hands(two right hands actually but nobody ever cares), so during this video i constantly changed from "i can do this, i can do this" to "what am i thinking, i don't deserve to make something that beautiful. but the fact that your voice will be sounding in my head for the duration of another video, that's a good argument in favour of me building a guitar myself) so thank you for doing this!!

This video series is amazing. I don't usually comment on stuff, but I just feel the need to thank you for putting all this information here for free. I'm super excited to try and build my own guitar (I have many ideas, some of which involve black 3.0 (worlds blackest black) and LIT (worlds glowiest pigment) Can't wait to see the rest of your tutorials!

I think this is the video I've viewed the most times. Between each step of my telecaster build. Thanks for the inspiration!

"I like my masking tape tone - you know, that little scoop in the high mids!" - soon to be a classic quote!

13:16 A very helpful tip! While beyond the scope of this build, if you later want to get into doing fancy inlay work, this sawdust can be mixed in with the glue to help hide it.

You can not imagine how useful will be this series for me! I really, really appreciate your work and your skills, and I absolutely love the f**** way you are using that rubber band when working on the neck profile!! What a genius!! Merci Maítre!

Started building an electric bass back in 2017. Finished the body (which was quite the task with a semi-hollow construction), the headstock and the rough neck shape... and then never continued because I guess I got scared of the actual neck shaping part. Now's the time to finish this beautiful project, no more excuses with this extraordinarily comprehensive guide!
