Brenda and Dylan were always endgame. Forever and ever. Dylan was one of the greatest players ever in the world and he has always stood up for himself in every fight and always has a strong foundation for success. Brenda was one of my favorites to watch and I think it will continue until the end of time because I know that the world will never forget

...ahh, the CLASSIC 'Baja' trip! ..ha-HAA!! ..In all honesty, Brenda should've approached it better...She (more or less) TOLD her Parents she's going....(1:13) ...BUT, after yesterday's post of Jim finding the 'Private Dancer' 's business Card (and letting Brandon off the hook), it seems a (2:21)

This trip was the beginning of the end for their couple, Dylan could not withstand the onslaught of her parents, it was easier with Kelly 💔🥺

Jim was always so hard on Brenda when it came to Dylan... Sometimes it was hard to watch. It's as if he was always waiting for Dylan and Brenda to screw up just so he could say or do something to come between them. The beginning of the end of their 💔🥺

Brenda's parents couldn't understand for such a long time that they should give their children more freedom, not less 🙄 imho hyperprotection for Brenda was too heavy, unreasonable heavy. I am sure all these problems with Brenda's parents played a huge role in breakup with Dilan.

It should be normal for a 16 year old to go abroad for holiday or work, even if she were by herself. Mexico can be dangerous for female tourists (even women of full age), but Dylan knows the places where they are going. He wouldn't put her in danger. As a matter of fact, crime scenes could be everywhere, there were sexual harrassment on the school campus and a robbery in the Peach Pit.

So in this clip it shows the parents saying it is okay for Brenda to go to Baja with Dylan.. I have not seen the clip where it shows the parents changing their mind and saying no to Baja

Having grown up in a authoritarian household, Jim (and Cindy's) control over Brenda makes my blood boil. If I were her parent, I would, first of all, have Brenda write down all the things she needs to do before going to a foreign country (from legal paperwork like passports to immunizations to protection). Second, I would have her make an emergency plan of the worst-case scenario. Then, I would let her weigh the options and decide for herself if she wants to go. Once she realizes the responsibility and risks, she might decide she does not want to go. At the least, she would know what the risks are. This is how you "coach" a child towards adulthood responsibilities. Sadly, in the past here in America, as well as in many cultures around the world, young women fall under the mercy of men. In this situation, Brenda's role involves being Dylan's "love decoration" while giving her father complete control over whether she can go at all. In other words, she asks her father's permission to go on a romantic escape. In her mind, once her father says yes, her only role is to have a good time. Otherwise, she bears no responsibilities or accountability of her own. She doesn't need to plan, budget, assess risks or formulate contingency plans. So that's why later, (spoiler alert), when she does end up sneaking off to Mexico with Dylan, she finds herself stuck at the border on her way back home. Because Brenda is a main character of the show, she gets a relatively free pass. But in real life, Americans have found themselves missing, kidnapped, and murdered in these situations. God forbid if that had happened to Brenda, it would have been a tragedy. That's why I think Jim should have had Brenda research what documents she needed, looked into knowing what to do in an emergency (i.e., know where the American Embassy is and go there if needed), budget how much money she needs, learn how to interact with border officials and learned some basic survival skills in Mexico.
