I love the YouTube commenters who know much more than Ilya 😂

The animal brain isnt a “neural network with slow neurons” it’s one part of a complex computational system that performs a complex of parallel tasks far faster than the fastest computers using a fraction of the energy. A honey bee can easily learn, navigate, and manipulate a 3D environment in a variety of conditions, manage rudimentary social relationships, and actively and athletically engage in combat in coordination with others while operating at watts. The most sophisticated self-driving systems struggle to operate efficiently on what’s effectively a 2D map and lacks basic self-perception, let alone social skills and combat. “AI” is so far from AI.

Brain isn't matrix multiplication...

But his brain has neurons that no AI can ever have, that are self aware, that can feel, that can cry, that can perceive things far beyond complexity itself (imagination and dreams)

Slower neurons...you know ...that gives me an idea...

The human brain is not "just a neural network". Each neuron is no just an on/off switch - it is itself a micro-computer. And what about quantum computing taking place in the micro-tubules within each neuron as proposed in the Orch OR model of consciousness proposed by Nobel prize winning physicist Professor Sir Roger Penrose and anaesthesiologist Dr Stuart Hammeroff.

The brain is operated by our spirit and the vast intuition of our spirit. Our memories are in the spirit. We need our spirit more than we need our brain.

No. The human brain is not "just a neural network". That's just not reflecting the current scientific results.

Like Matrix and so nobody will be alone and Agi will know all your thoughts. How can we defend from this? It seems a little be dangerous. You are playing with nitroglicerina..if something go wrong the human time is finish. Be careful guy

Brain is not just neural network.
Computer neural network has only name that is taken from brain, the rest is different.
Saying that you just need to train on data is bullshit, you need understanding, creativity, motivation, emotions, etc

This whole discussion is a joke. If we don’t know what thought itself even IS - we won’t be able to create a better version of it. And to think we could do better than billion years of evolution - to me is ridiculously funny and sad at the same time.

Funny, because people take themselves so serious and sad because everything we call intellect still seems to be so stupid if what we come up with is an algorithm that is blind to happiness, but we still empower it with everything we got.

The brain has evolved from random mutations, over a training period of 4 billion years. The brain would have seen many things we can't see in one lifetime.
