Will any of the lures I'm using catch big smallmouth bass in the lovely Thornapple River? There's only one way to find out! I'm floating down the Thornapple River near Grand Rapids, Michigan for smallmouth bass (and another fish species that's eluded me for some time). I only get one shot at this river per year. So, I've gotta make this one count. Can I select the best lures to catch some big smallies? Join me as we'll find out!

Yessirrrr!!! Love to see my home waters on YouTube! Your right. Its a beautiful river. Also, I noticed you were fishing the dam. Was that the one on 84th Street? Im at that spot all the time. Its very unpredictable. You could be catching them back to back, and get skunked the next day. But its usually really good. I caught my PB smallmouth there. Some nice pike too.
