A police officer was put on administrative leave after being involved in an incident where the Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill was handcuffed and placed face down on a street outside the team's home stadium following a traffic stop Sunday morning, hours before the star wide receiver played in his first game of the season.

The officer, who was not identified, was one of at least three involved in detaining Hill, who said he was stopped for speeding and reckless driving. Some fans saw the incident and captured video on their way to the game, and it quickly went viral on social media.

Motorcycle Cop: “Roll your window down!”
Tyreek: “Get 2 more wheels then come talk to me.”

He was not arrested. He was only detained. There’s a big difference.

These news people should be gettin the police cam footage. But I guess the only journalists left are citizens with cell phones. Sad that we don’t have a reliable media anymore.

You should be allowed to get a fair one cop

It went from "open the window" which he opened a couple inches to "get the hell out of the car" in like 1.2 seconds.

As a former State Trooper the officers were acting unprofessionally due to Hill’s attitude. Unnecessary use of force with that many officers standing around even after being handcuffed. Remedial training must be taken to avoid repeated incidents. Disciplinary actions -probably so. My opinion.

They have a knee in his back. You get a citation for traffick violations unless he was driving way over the limit.

He claimed he cooperated. This clearly shows different.

Again, he was not arrested, he was detained for speeding, reckless driving and not complying with the police....

So no one knows exactly what happened but after watching a million cop videos this is my opinion. Cop said roll window down and he did like an inch...which you are NOT required to roll down the window all the way. Cop got his ego and butt hurt and wanted to exert his authority "You listen to me or else." Probably words were exchanged but putting him on the ground in handcuffs and possibly hitting him for a traffic violation was completely unreasonable, unnecessary and excessive force. Hope they have body cams. Remember, the law is supposed to be a reasonable order and nothing on any video I have seen is reasonable force by the cops. Disgusting behavior and typical of police forces across the US

Florida cops don't mess around. They tell you go roll down the window - you roll it down all the way. They tell you to jump - you say how high. They want you out of the car - you get out of the car. And whatever you do - don't stop and try to help them or the detainee because that will just get you detained too. Just watch the FWC / Florida Cop videos on here. People think they can mess with Florida cops and that they are their "friends" or nice. Wrong. If they can't get you for anything else - they will throw a resisting without violence on you. And resisting without violence means that you question them or don't immediately comply with their stupid instructions. So, no matter what you are stopped for - You don't jump when they say jump - you are getting a resisting without violence and or an obstructing. It's a hell of an ego trip for them.

There was no reason whatsoever for the police to OBVIOUSLY escalate this so quickly. There was NO justification for making him get out of the car and then for another power-hungry cop to jump on Hill’s back. As a 60 year old white man, I think this was ridiculous behavior by the police.

They cropped this video, the officer walked up to his car, hill put the window down and gave the officer his license, the cop turned and walked away then hill raised the window to make his phone call, the cop pivoted came back and banging on the window saying leave this down hill thought he was going to write up the ticket which is what they normally do .

If a cop stops you, follow the rules, why roll up the windows? Cops risk their lives every day and if someone rolls up the windows it is for 3 reasons: 1. you want to hide something, 2. you are looking for a weapon or 3. out of disrespect.
