UK: One of the greatest challenges today is that we often feel untouched by the problems of others and by global issues like climate change even when we can easily do something to help. In the latest, climate activists threw soup on Vincent van Gogh's painting named sunflowers to spread climate crisis awareness.

What did Van Gogh ever do anything to environment, other than painting it beautifully? Perhaps this is jealousy as an artist?

What climate activists should be doing is plant more and talk less.
Action speaks louder than words

They should lock these clowns up and not let them back out until they grow up

My suggestion
Remove the VanGogh and surrounding paintings
Do not free the activist hands from the wall
Set up a camera on tripod about 15 feet away from the activist
Museum sells tomato soup in plastic bags to patrons
Museum films activist as tomato soup is thrown on them
“Performance Art video tapes of the event are sold in the museum gift shop
Proceeds go to “save the planet”

The gallery should've quickly swapped the art piece out with a poster saying "Idiots Caught Red Handed" live sculpture, then went on about their day.

Their only message IS LOOK AT ME. I AM A SPOILED BRAT AND HAVE NO OTHER LOGIC REASON TO BE HERE OTHER THAN TO BE NOTICED.
A million dollar fine will fix their stupidity.
The insurance company should go after them. The police will do nothing.

And let me guess where they punished ? No of course not. Where they coddled and told they could have their own talk show ?? Probably.

“Sunflowers” has now been seen around the globe and the symbol is powerful. Happily, the painting itself was not harmed. Point made.

FYI, there's a difference between artists & activists.

I’m curious how the idea came about with these two. If they spent the same time and energy going to work, they’d be able to pay bills…
