It's well known throughout most cultures that life is suffering, regardless of financial situation... Why you'd subject children to this suffering when your life is already uncertain as a result of poverty is beyond me 🙄

I'm born in an Indian middle class family. We are not impoverished poor types but just because I'm male my mom sold me to my maternal grandparents as a domesticated son. They just want me to inhumanly work for them and get them $$$$.

See, I think emotional people get too personally offended by the statement which is intended to promote their well-being. When we say poor people should not have kids it is because it is in the best interest of the poor person not to. Children require time, money, and energy, and if one is already lacking 1, 2, or all of these things, having children is going to make their life more miserable that it already is. Poverty is like a hole, the more children you have, the more burdens you add to your life, the deeper the hole gets and the harder it will be for you to escape it. If you think about it morally, not only do you dig a deeper hole for yourself, you also drag innocent children into that hole who will also struggle to escape. So dear poor person, do yourself a favor and wait/don't have kids. Are a few moments of pleasure worth a lifetime of pain and suffering? I think this type of thinking is too rational for the average person. Many people don't think about anything and just live their lives acting on their impulses, unfortunately.

As someone who came from two parents who had 4 kids in poverty it was horrible growing up!! My parents were constantly having money issues, borrowing from Paul to pay Jim back. No money for sports or extra circular activities, there was no foundation set for us. No college fund or financial literacy. Nothing it sucked feeling like a burden growing up which is why I’d rather not have them.

Few things enrage me as much as being FORCED to support never-ending needs other people get to create BECAUSE others of us subsidize their choices. If you can't support yourself, then how the h*ll are you going to support kids? Don't force me to pay to help when I've decided I myself can't afford to have kids!!

I am a teenager and I am commenting you using my mom's mobile cause I don't have my own. You are so correct man . My life is so tough because of my parents. They are never available emotionally whenever I need them. All they think is " how to repay the loans we borrowed from them" I am tired of my life. I don't want to live. Just no reason. I am sick of it. I think I have depression but my parents are never financially stable .so ...I can't afford to visit a physcratist also. I mean I don't want to go in details about my life because I am afraid you may laugh at it. We cannot even afford basic things . Uhhh....I wish I was never born.

This is a discussion I feel needs to be talked about more, if you try to search this up on YouTube you barely get a video to pop up appreciate the videos. People must understand a child has no control of being in a situation they didn’t ask for but, the parents do. People give birth kids when they are lower middle class or broke, then get pissed off at the kid for being upset at their environmental situation. The key is not to be broke or live pay check to pay check when having kids, is to be financially Stable so when kids are born they have a better situation, education and a better financial situation.

I watched your video on why poor people shouldn’t have kids unfortunately it was a very real video And an adult conversation that our politicians don’t like to have with people kids born after the post Reagan era have become extremely expensive you have to invest in nice homes nice neighborhoods good schools they have to have good clothing food all the gadgets and accessories be able to go on expensive trips and do expensive after school activities And we’re not even taking About the price of healthcare and education Back in the day you just used to have to feed kids clothing them and give them a bed to sleep in and you were a great parent things have become more complicated nowadays unfortunately kids grow up poor are not gonna be able to have all that good stuff and going to resent their parents vice versa their parents are gonna start resenting them for taking what little they had it’s just gonna be a very toxic relationship That’s the unfortunate part where society has gone

I have one child( 2 year old) .. (that I am affording without the government help) I would"like" another child but I can't afford daycare for two kids. So I'm not having any more. Makes me sad tho. People question/ try convince me otherwise for saying Im not having any more children

Actually 30%-45% of kids who are put into foster care end up homeless at some point, so I would advocate that abortion is the better option than having a kid just to put them into the system.
