James Bond looks good in the Royal Navy uniform.

These old Bond films were intelligent. That's what I loved about them.

Actually, Roger was a real captain lead an entertainment service corp at West Germany. He was commissioned as 2nd Lt then promoted to Captain. He managed military entertainment program.

This and For Your Eyes Only are Moore's absolute best films, as far as in concerned.

I think the two before this: Live and Let Die, and The Man With the Golden Gun focused a little too much on the comedy, and once they got into space, Moonraker devolved into a Star Wars cash-in.

Damn good film. Went back to see it several times when it came out. Blew my mind.

Seen the film many times and love it, but I think it's odd that only a few minutes after being introduced to the defence secretary, Bond calls him Freddie!

Pretty funny that the building in the background when the helo lands is still there in the same form.

I've seen people comment on how Bond addresses Grey as Freddie when they're alone but take him not doing that again as a relationship souring. Personally I just think that it is because this is the only film where Bond, Moore or Dalton, is talking with Grey without any officials around.

Bond movies were the superhero flicks of its time.

After almost 40 years and rewatching the film dozens of times, did I just hear Bond address Sir Frederick Gray as Freddie?

Robert Brown, playing Admiral Hargreaves, would go on to succeed Bernard Lee as M following Lee’s death and play him in four films from 1983-1989. I still wonder if the M he plays is actually Hargreaves promoted to M.

Roger Moore looks good in the Royal Navy Suit I wish I was Sir Roger Moore as 007 in that Royal Navy Suit

It's possible Robert Brown's M is actually Admiral Hargreaves.

I am a big fan of Moore as Bond. I think he is one of the classic Bond's. He had the right polish and confidence for the role. The writing got worse as they went but that's not his fault. Live and Let Die. Golden Gun and Spy Who Loved Me are classic Bonds. They were more like films than the silly movies they became.
