I really enjoyed learning that the seed can be ground up and consumed. That's excellent advice, thank you from the USA

I bought my house in Southern California in 1998. The house had a huge avocado tree in the backyard i wanted very much. I really didn't care too much about the house, all i knew is that i really wanted that huge avocado tree. Basically i paid 200, 000 for the avocado tree, and got the house for free. Over the years i threw away hundreds of seeds not knowing you could eat them. I give the avocado's to family, neighbors, and friends, and extra i freeze after removing seed and skin, that keeps them nice and green until i need them. Now my avocado tree today is worth over 1 million. Thank you for posting those tips, i will try them out.

Isaac watching from South Africa, I never knew that seeds of an avocado are edible and contains about 70% of antioxidants. Thankful for the clip 🙏

Hello from Bridlington, England. I use the remainder of the avocado clinging to the peel as a face mask. Apply direct, wait and wash off. Makes skin feel soft and smooth.

I cut mine into four parts so the seed removes easily after the third part is removed. I also use brown paper bags to ripen them faster. Thanks for your tips though 👍🏾

To grow a new avocado take the stone, suspend it with toothpicks in a small cup and keep the base in water. After a while it will root and then a shoot with leaves will grow. When suutable, pot in compost and then the ground. We have many young trees and one about 8 metres tall with fruit. ( A TREE !! )

St. Petersburg, FL, USA. We grow the larger green avocados, also locally known as Alligator Pears. They are buttery and taste great. Unlike the Haas avocado, you can't let them get dark, then they are overripe and unpalatable. As others mentioned can be used as a facial mask, or skin treatment. We've lost over 300 this year due fruit drop, but we will be processing the pits anyway.

From California. Just yesterday I heard how to make natural spray from avocado pit. Ground avocado pit ( like you suggested for our benefits), cook with water for 10 minutes. Live it covered for 7-8 hours, drain it and spray plants. Protect plants from bugs and insects

Watching from North Pole Alaska. Avocados, my favorite luxury. I ripen by putting one in a drawer that I don't open often. Truly spoiled, as hubby doesn't like them....so they are all mine, lol.

The seed contains starches so the ground up seed can be added to bread dough when baking bread.

The easiest and fastest way to know if an avocado is ripe and ready to eat, is to gently squeeze it --- if it's as hard as a rock, it is not ripe. If it gives a little, it is ready to eat. If it is soft, mash it up with some lemon juice and chopped hot peppers. Yummmm !!!

from Panama. I grow trees from the seed if it has already sprouted a root. Put seed on top of a glass of water allowing the root to reach the water. Replace with fresh water every few days. When the top begins to sprout, plant in good soil. A beautiful tree will grow
