Why do you need 5g on the tab? . just create a wifi hot spot with your phone and connect the tab.

The S-Pen does have eraser function use the click button. And if you need to save notes on the Samsung save it a local folder that is setup with sync and when you have internet it will sync your changes

S pen does not need battery charge. It works even while fully depleted. the only thing that requires it to be charged is the air command functionality (like taking selfies and such)

Great review! I have the Tab S7+, and use it for writing meeting notes and diagrams, but with the Nebo app. It would be great to see your review of Nebo 4.0. It is an amazing Android writing app, and solves a lot of your issues with the native Samsung Notes app.

Correctios about Galaxy Tab S8 further below. Also, these are two totally different devices. Remarkable 2 is a note-taking device. While you can download note-taking apps on the Galaxy Tab S8, as do almost anything you can do in a computer. Especially in Dex mode.

Samsung Galaxy....
1. Has an eraser button.
2. Does not have to be charged to write. Only to use air actions (use pen to take photo, skup a video in YouTube, etc).
3. You can take notes offline with Samsung Notes, OneNote, and Noteshelf. There may be others. But I use those for different things.

I like the video. I don't like remarkable 2 but I'm interested in S8+ and Boox Tab Ultra which to me seems to be better then remarkable 2. Said that, your points are all valids. BTW I'm still undecided

no palm rejection on s8? maybe specific apps issue? the spen are active styluses right? it should know when its a palm/finger touch and when its an spen tip

Far too much misinformation and misunderstanding of how the Tab S8 works.

Instead of making a so-called ''comparative'' video between these 2 devices, you should actually have watched videos about how the Tab S8 works 🤧

Ps: the Spen doesn't need to be recharged, and if you don't use your tablet for more than a week, simply put it on battery 🔋 saving mode or simply turn it off 🤷🏽‍♂️

No you don't need to recharge the Spen in order to use the writing and erasing features... Only for the air commands!

I think that most of your problems with s s8 are caused by you not having great knowledge about using it. No offense.

For example, you definitely can duplicate files.

Constant data is a deal killer for me. My data feed is on my phone. No need for my tablet to also be connected full time. That's stupid and pointless and a waste of money.

Unfortunately, a subscription model for handwriting to text is also a deal killer for me. And I think not having color is also a dealkiller.
