Man, I miss the hype for TFA. It felt like the last time Star Wars fans were truly excited and not hostile over something… I honestly think it’s my favourite of the Disney-era movies. It’s just so narratively sleek and no matter how many times I watch it, it always feels like a comeback film to me.

I understand people’s grievances with Attack of the Clones, and I certainly agree with a lot of its flaws, but the Detective Obi-Wan plotline is absolutely my favorite Star Wars movie storyline.

I grew up with the OT and Prequels and watched the cgi Clone Wars cartoon as a kid, but never bought into Star Wars really until The Force Awakens when I was 13 myself. It's not my favourite, but it's the moment I started to call myself a Star Wars fan. The novelisation was the first Star Wars book I read and was my gateway into the new books and later the old Expanded Universe.

I love Star Wars. I don't like everything, the Prequels were never my thing while Rogue One and The Rise Of Skywalker were very mixed bags for me and the less said about the TCW film the better, but I still find something to like about all of them.

I just loved how mystical The last Jedi was.
it was like really diving into what was possible with the force powers and I really liked that it was almost Harry Potter esque in its imagination

Great ranking, I definitely agree with the takes about The Last Jedi and The Phantom Menace being underrated. TLJ is my 2nd favorite, and TPM is around 6-7 for me.

It's crazy to me just how varied Star Wars YouTuber's takes are on the franchise. It just goes to show that it's impossible for Disney (or even formerly Lucas) to make everyone happy all the time. Each story, be it a novel, comic, animation, TV show or movie, will cater to some and not to others. For some, like myself, TLJ was almost a masterpiece, to many others, the name alone makes them nauseous and filled with rage. And that can be said about any material from Star Wars. And that's honestly a good thing. If Disney just stuck to one demographic, the stories would all be the same, they'd all take part during the Galatic Empire's rule, and characters would be unchanging. I just hope Star Wars fans can be open minded enough to allow Disney greater creativity and not force them to feel like they have to keep re-using the same characters and locations we all know to appease the most cynical and vocal fans.
