I love Metallica like every die hard Metallica fan of this generation but one thing I can’t deny is the lack of wanting to get better as musicians (mainly Lars and Kirk) and that’s something many Fans never seem to admit. Could you imagine if Lars took his instrument as serious as the business? He would be like Vinny Paul not playing the same AcDc beat over and over. Think about it. Metallica can’t cover a Megadeth, Pantera, or even a Grunge song because of Lars. Unless it’s a beat that he can play that repeats over and over.

Some peoples naturally occurring set of songwriting skills if you transcribe them look like complex theory, but some of these dudes are seriously just playing by sound and of course it’s going to line up with music theory if it’s transcribed….. if you look at Paul McCartney‘s music transcribed you would think he was a music theory genius but he admittedly says he knows nothing about it, can’t read music, and he just goes by feel and sound and muscle memory

I was just looking about what the net worth of both bands are. It has Megadeth listed at 25 million and Metallica at 1 billion. I think I'd be ok if my music "wasn't as good" if it meant that way more people were enjoying it. Don't get me wrong I love both bands but this comparison is as old and tired as the band members themselves.

Shred man i don’t know if this is a joke but Dave doesn’t know what fkn Mode he’s playing in 😂, Lots of Metallica songs could be called Phrygian really both just add chromatics, this isn’t a debate a single Metallica album is more Memorable then Megadeth themselves let alone one of there most basic songs ahahah, Rust in peace is probably the best Thrash Metal ever and always will be and Dave mastered his sound with a group of guys, But even Dave knew Metallica were a different breed.
