3000hp on the STOCK BLOCK is absolutely mind blowing stuff. This generation of ford GT is one of the great road cars in history

I still remember as a kid watching the video of the Ford GT breaking 263 mph at the Texas Mile in 2012. If I thought that was fast back then, now I'm hearing about one going 300 mph

And it broke 300 mph within one mile, too. Simply amazing!

Remember, it's also the industrial chemists who developed tires that would hold these supercars on the road without breaking up. THAT was also brilliant technology. My dad was one them.

3000 hp on a stock engine block??? That’s mind blowing and fantastic original engineering from Ford.

Never really been a Ford guy, but the 05-06 GT is without a doubt one of the coolest cars ever made.

People don't understand how phucking bananas it is to go 0-300mph in a 1 phucking mile AND could drive it home. Still blows my mind..

I raced a 05-06 Ford GT on a highway in SandSprings Oklahoma and it stayed right on my ass the entire time. I was on a 2008 CBR 1000RR lowered with cam, velocity stacks, and tune. I was suprised he could keep up with me. He would have passed me over 180 but I think he was thinking about keeping me alive.

I fell in love with this car when I was just 8 years old. Growing up, I watched nearly every single Ford GT video ever made. I'm 25 now and it is still my dream car

I’ve never heard the GT90 described as controversial. It’s one of the few concept cars people even remember. People I’ve seen love it. I love it. It looks timeless. Most people would never guess when it was created if they know nothing about it.

I know that they had plenty of reason to use the V6 tt in the most recent GT but man it would've been so so cool to see something like the GT500 engine or something similar in there.

I absolutely love the design though. One of the best looking cars I've ever seen.

And this time it actually crossed 310mph as well setting a new world record just last week!

Dad was part of the initial development team in skunkworks, they were originally going to go with a direct homologation of the gt40 mk1 but that idea got scrapped after new safety regulations and fueling were needed for economy. It’s a good thing superformance is basically doing that today.

T6 is the ageing condition of the _A356_ aluminium alloy used for the block. It's the alloy system here that's important to emphasise seeing as almost every cast aluminum alloy used for engine blocks will be in the T6 and maximum strength heat treatment condition

I'm really glad I found these videos. No bias, no stupid bs just interesting information in a to the point package. Respect to you 337. By the way, could you do the Cosworth YB if you can gather enough information to create a video. I'm not sure how many markets got the engine but it was in the Sierra Cosworth in the UK. Maybe an engine a lot of people aren't aware of
