Karlach when Gortash is Killed (but not by her)

Saw this when facing the Absolute (aka Nether Brain aka Elder Brain) and Karlach's reaction is priceless so I wanted to share from Baldur's Gate 3!

I assumed she'd be upset about not getting to do it herself, but her maniacal laughter and yes f*ck youuuu attitude over him being instakilled is way funnier.

I think this, compared to how she reacts when she kills him, shows a lot about her. She didn't want revenge, she wanted justice. Her killing him was an act of revenge, but this was karmatic justice at it's finest.

Honestly this makes a lot of sense for Karlach. Killing Gortash doesn’t solve anything, which she realises when she kills him by her own hand. It isn’t justice. THIS is justice. Gortash getting played like a pawn then killed on the spot by his own creation.

Considering the lead up, this is pretty much spot on comedy. Gortash literally did this to himself, and Karlach is just enjoying it

As much as I love Niel newbon's job on Astarion, I feel that Samantha Beart has been glossed over a bit. They did an INCREDIBLE job portraying karlach.

Her reaction is based and accurate considering he is basically the root cause of all her woes. Seeing him die was probably extremely satisfying for her.

Karlach's manic laughter is wonderful, but Gortash's sudden death really disappointed me, ngl. I was looking forward to my Dark Urge and him eventually fulfilling their original plan and ruling together :(((

Not gonna lie, i found to it quite disappointing that he dies here no matter what. I think they should have added some way of preserving him.
