Many years ago my 23 year old cat saved my mom and I from a house fire he was 2 years old at the time did he know what he was doing at that time. He's right beside me. I have spoiled him ever since.

I recently started letting a homeless cat I have been feeding for a couple years into my house hoping to make her a full time house cat. She caught on to using a litter box right away but I keep catch8ng her eating the clay litter! Why is she doing that and what should I do? I started her on a new can cat food thinking maybe her body was craving a mineral the other food wasn’t giving her, but besides that i have no ideas on what to do? Oh she seems very comfortable in the house and sleeps in sun beams most of the day 😇

Hi Jackson and Cat Ladies! I have 4 rescue cats. The first 3 I adopted (foster-failed one!) got along for the most part. A year and a half ago, I adopted Diego when his owner dumped him outside when her husband went into a nursing home. We have coyotes - what is wrong with her?! I found this out when I took him to the Humane Society to see if he had a chip. He did but the owner wouldn't take him back. I got in touch with the rescue who gave her the cat. Turns out Diego lived on the streets in TJ for the first 2-3 years of his life, He was found in an abandoned house fire and brought to CA. All this to say, it might be why he is so aggressive towards my other cats. He had to fight to survive. But with me, he is the BIGGEST love bug!! I tried all of your recommended tactics to introduce him to my pack, but all Diego would do was immediately chase the other cats and fight them. So, my vet recommended Prozac for Diego. He's been on it for the past two months and he is more chill. He even grooms my oldest cat now! But my other two cats are still terrified of him. Do you have any recommendations? I hate having to keep them in separate rooms and move them around throughout the day.

One: What is the best way to handle over grooming. Health checked out. He”ll stop for a while then he’ll go back when we aren’t looking.

Two: what do you think is the best way to treat fleas that won’t make them seem ill for a couple of days.

Two and a half: What do you think of using diatomaceous earth for treatment directly on the cats, sparingly of course.

My question is why isn't there more emphasis on getting owners to brush their cat's teeth.? Over the course of my life, I have lost two wonderful cats to oral squamous cell carcinomas. Anything that can be done to avoid or delay this horrible disease is so worth the effort and getting my cats used to having their teeth brushed was not that difficult once I got a poultry flavored feline toothpaste. It's the best way to monitor our cats' oral health and know when any problems arise with their teeth or gums. What can we do to spread the word about this important practice?

This is really something we don't understand. We're having issues with our cat Mo. Blended cat family, he's buddies with all the other cats, co-grooming, first one to greet visitors at the door. Great mojito cat. If we go visit a friend with a cat their cat does the stink face, then the scared oh my gosh where is he face, then they run away and hide the entire time we are there.

What is the best way to leash train a cat? We live out in the country and both of my males always desperately want to go outside when we do. I've tried to get them used to a harness for a leash. They just plop over or wriggle their way out of it.

Any tips on how to fight the service animal issues with cats? I have a cat who is an Esa, but I have trained him to do some tasks for me for my PTSD, but when I just went into the hospital they denied him because he's not an actual service animal.
