Would love a series that brings in vets and discusses the issues common to senior cats, like kidney disease, renal failure, high blood pressure and seizures, cancer, and hyperthyroidism. A lot of us get blindsided by these issues after many years of seemingly healthy cats, and even with regular checkups, these issues can seem to come out of nowhere. I’d love a compiled series explaining in detail what exactly the diseases are, what they do to our cats, how to prevent them (if we can), how to manage them, and how to handle both the disease and our cats when those illnesses are with us for those last few days of their lives. Managing a cat that’s dying from these illnesses is not something people talk about and it’s stressful and isolating. I would love to see you and a panel of experts help us by arming us with knowledge and providing us with the info we need to prep for those final days when we’re just trying to ensure they leave this world feeling comfortable and safe. ❤

Also! A video on mouth health for cats! I recently found out that gum disease and tooth rot causes liver failure and most cats and their owners aren’t accustomed to even thinking about their cat’s oral health, but it plays a major role in their longevity and overall health, so more awareness on this with more videos could do wonders to help many people and many more cats! Discuss how to get a cat used to oral checkups, both as kittens and as adults, what to look for, what oral issues are common, what preventions we can take, and what to expect if issues arise that can’t be ignored.

The Cat grieving process. I've seen a number of cats grieve family members, cat siblings & even kittens leaving after adoption. I witnessed a grown cat say 'goodbye' to its mother as she died & not only did it seem to understand, it's grieving period was shorter.

Overgrooming or excessive grooming would be a good one. I've heard of cats overgrooming because of stress, or some cats groom themselves of happiness (allogrooming). I would especially like to learn more about that stuff because my kitten is having a problem with excessively grooming her stomach, even though there's no direct source of stress.

We lost our Gizmo 18 months ago. Reese and I were so depressed, on an impulse I went to shelter and picked out a kitten. He came with fleas, and didn't give Reese anytime to chill out. It became so stressful for Reese and myself, I had to separate them at night. Sometime during the day, I had to return Rascal back. He just wanted to play, Reese is 15 years old. She started over grooming and has not quit yet. She was treated for thyroid, dermatology due to fleas. However the veterinarians were unable to find fleas, they found one little speck of a black what they said it's flea poop. I have never seen a flea on her. We had an abrupt move as I was assaulted and not safe. Her over grooming has gotten worse, she's had steroids and antibiotics with no change. It's just getting worse. I resiliently lost my job, so I'm looking for an inexpensive way to help her. She is always grooming and scratching herself. A friend suggested I contact you.
