In this video I'm showing you how to makeover a cube shelf and turn it into a kitchen island on wheels! I used the walmart brand cube organizer, but this makeover can be done with the Ikea cube shelf.

Hey everyone! I am overwhelmed by the amazing response to this project! I am glad soo many of you found it helpful!
Here is some info on common questions I've gotten about this project.
Cost:
My cost was around $86 (includes plywood cut (not entire sheet), the backing piece, trim, glue, caulk, paint). I had the cube already (current walmart price is $69). I completed it over a weekend.
Size:
Top plywood - 24 inches by 60 inches
Height - just under 36 inches (almost counter height)
Wheels:

Hope this helps! 😊

“I mitered the corners” Are you kidding! You are nothing short of amazing. I am beyond impressed. I once installed pull out shelves in a cabinet and was proud of myself.

You did a great job, especially in sourcing your materials! Love when people "step outside the box" and use more imagination and creativity than money with fantastic results. You gained some useful storage space as well.

Just love it when sorry looking items get repurposed & refinished! You did a great job here- even reusing the old stool coverings for the seat bases❤️

This is exactly what I was looking for! I might end up using a different item for the base instead of the cube shelf, but the basic concept is the same.
