You did not explain how you got a 2nd vertical line that allows you to trim. When I open a new project and import my video, I don't get that 2nd line like you do, I get only one vertical line that moves when the video plays.

Is there any way I could possibly shorten a clip less than one second? I’d like to make an animation in iMovie, and one frame cannot be one second. It has to be way shorter. Like twelve frames per second for example. However I don’t animate with that high of fps.
