Learning to ride a horse is not only control of your body but control of the horse's body as well. you must be able to maintain your seat and be able to guide the horse through complete turns to both the right and the left. now you aren't just using your hands you are using your legs as well and you will use outside leg and inside rain to complete a figure eight. however you also must keep the horse going and keep the pattern as round as possible, this requires practice and the first time you try it you may not be so good at it, but you have to work and gain muscle memory to become better in the saddle.
