Lemon Bars with intense lemon flavor and a buttery shortbread crust. This recipe is so simple, can be made ahead and even frozen.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE SHORTBREAD CRUST:
►1/2 lb unsalted butter, room temperature
►1/2 cup granulated sugar
►1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
►2 cups all-purpose flour
►1/4 tsp salt

FOR THE LEMON FILLING:
►7 large eggs, room temperature
►3 cups granulated sugar
►2 Tbsp lemon zest (from 4 to 5 lemons)
►1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed (from 5 large or 8 medium lemons)
►1 cup all-purpose flour

►Confectioners sugar, to dust

Since I came across this recipe a few years ago, and never having had lemon bars, I tried it. OMG! The best, most explosive lemon burst in your mouth! Since then, I cannot satisfy my family's love for these dreamy lemon bars! I've probably made them at least ten times! Just can't get enough! I've literally just sat down with one of my lemon bars I've just made. I followed the recipe exactly and OMG. Really delicious. Just enough tart in the lemon filling and the buttery crust..woth the powdered sugar on top. Perfect combination. Thank you

This took me back to my mom's lemon bars so thanks for the memory! I would love to see some summer BBQ classics like potato salad, burgers and summer desserts. Love you channel. I've done your chicken parm and your beef stew over the winter. My husband loved them both!

I tried it and was very sweet, next time I will be using 2.25 cups of sugar instead of 3. The texture and creaminess of the filling was on point that I will be using it to make lemon tart.

Awesome recipe, great video! I love your energy! Must admit I altered it... instead of granulated sugar in crust I used powdered sugar. Also I put the vanilla in the egg mixture not in the crust. Turned out perfect. Thank you
