Just bought a dienmern stud finder on amazon, searched for a tutorial on that one and this was the second result. Minus the case, it's pretty much identical, the 5 modes and little icons, same LCD screen and same working function.

I was holding the calibration button the entire time 😂 learned what I needed to know, should now be able to install my TV Bracket/mount

Perfect little tutorial, thank you!

This was exactly what I was looking for - it worked just fine when I used the 1" mode. Thank you!

Just got my $16 TH550 from Amazon and it appears to work just fine.It is just like yours but it has the 2 buttons on the face and the calibration button on the side. One face button is for on and off and the other is for the mode.Mine doesn't pick up much on the 1/2" either, you have to switch it to 1".

Had to switch to 1.5" to make it work, thanks for the tutorial!

Is there a reason that my 1/2 depth and 1' depths mark different places (half an inch or so difference)? Where should I drill?

What if you start calibrating where the wires are?

So I noticed the red light was on all the time. Does that mean where ever you are scanning there was a live wire ? What’s the purpose of the red light being on if you are scanning the wood/studs?
