Illinois Resident here: Recently tried to purchase a Ruger 10-22 Receiver from a national retailer, the canceled my order due to the potential of it being used to create an AW!, they would however sell and ship a complete 10-22 which I could then disassemble! Unbelievable!

I could see big bore rimfire making a comeback 😊

Give them a few weeks. They’ll ban it too.

My LGS refuses to let me consign my Ruger 22/45 Lite. It has a removable mag and a threaded barrel. Assault pistol! I can’t sell or trade my legal property in WA. That is such crap.

I live in Commiefornia. I recently bought a MP 15/22 S&W rifle. This is the first rifle I've ever owned. I was surprised to find out that it shares just about everything that an AR15 is made out of, just in a 22 caliber.

Not the weapon itself, but the magazines.

Huh. I had missed that distinction. Just received email from the gun range talking about Ruger 10/22 day (22OCT) and a sale on Ruger 10/22s and was REAL confused. Thank you!

Maybe not in WA. But in Jersey if I put it a chassis with evil features it banned as an assault weapon.

And yet North 40 won’t sell the 10/22 in Washington. When I asked why, the salesman said it was because its features were close enough to those described in the ban that they didn’t want to risk it (presumably being stuck with unsellable inventory).

I understand, i agree it is not their fault. Sorry if it seemed like i was blaming them.

That’s so nice of the government to give its citizens permission to buy a .22 cal rifle. Aren’t we privileged?

I believe ILs PICA outlaws 10-22. The state has reasoned out that gun does not have a forgrip. Just an extra long stock which protrudes under the barrel providing a place to put your hand.

They will call it a loophole and ban it later

It's one of the few semiautomatic rifles that are legal

I believe the mini 14 ranch is legal as well.

As a .22 caliber RIM fire rifle, it’s not party to the statute listed in the video.
