Why COUNTRY LIVING IS A PREPPING & Health BACK UP Plan!

Join me today for a look at some of the every day things that people living in the country, and who manage the land that they own do differently than city living people. We'll take an in depth look at the prepping value of rural living, and show how in many ways rural living IS a pandemic back up plan! Whether it is a grocery haul, food shortage, martial law, or health and preparedness, you might get some helpful ideas if you just look at things a little differently, whether you live in the CITY or the country. You may not be a true prepper, or a prepper at heart, but after experiencing some mass chaos from the recent pandemic, you might have some serious second thoughts that after this is all over (and hopefully it will be soon) that you might just consider buying some land in the country, in Rural America. The ongoing Virus spread has everyone on edge and some places in Mass panic as store shelves are all empty in major metropolitan areas, while the small country stores still have regular everyday items such as toilet paper still in stock. Do you have a back up plan for such a pandemic? Do you have a back up plan for such a virus? Lets take a look at people who engage in wildlife or deer land management, having some land, and how they can weather the storm of mass panic over the long run. City living is great for all of the immediate and close amenities when things are running smoothly and as they should, But when the stuff hits the fan (SHTF) things all change very rapidly. But don't panic now, this virus does not appear to be the kind that won't give you a second chance! After all, it seems to be a more mild virus than many that we have all dealt with for a very long time. This video is just to give you some ideas looking ahead into your future once this has passed to determine if you want to become a country living kind of person or family. Thanks for joining us today here at Kapper Outdoors and our thoughts and prayers go out to ALL who are affected by this most recent pandemic in any way! Thanks for joining us. Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.

Nice to think about things like that when things are going bad. Always nice to have a stash of seeds to fall back on if you need them.

Good stuff, Kap. I wanted to throw in something that those who own big equipment. Maintain your own fuel (500 gal diesel tank) and have maintenance supplies (air filters, fuel filters, belts, etc). Protection (whatever you are competent to use) & ammo. Glad you made this video. Stay safe & S/F.

It’s sad that a lot of people aren’t self sufficient anymore. It seems like back in my grandpas day everyone had everything they needed to survive by themselves. And whatever else they needed there was always a relative to give a hand. I’m proud to be raised in the country learning how to hunt, grow crops, manage land and a farm house.

Good information Kapper the only thing you said I can’t agree with is. You don’t like squirrel to eat(what). You never had it fixed right My grandma fixed squirrel and squirrel gravy over homemade biscuits and it was great. It’s about the same as creamed rabbit. This country boy will survive and eat well.

WOW!!...This morning before work my woman and I had a conversation very similar to what you just said...We reevaluated how we do everything and are making plans for big changes...This just reinforced our thought process...THX!!  And don't ever get rid of that 20 acre cedar thicket...LOL

Great information Joe! I'm in a rural location, but the municipality has 150, 000 residents, the store shelves are cleaned out here. Luckily I've stocked up well in advance and avoid the stores now.

Great video Kapper. Funny you posted this tonight. I was just watching 5 deer behind the house and thinking if need be there is freezer filling. Was born and raised in the city and suburbs. Moved to the country 21 years ago and love it. You covered some great points. Stay Safe All !!!

You really are prepared for a SHTF scenario. I hope it doesn't come to that. Hats off to you!

fuel is finite, best to save fuel for your own needs, solar & wind are truly self sufficient if you want to continue using electronics, woodstove is our greatest friend in the country not only heats but cooks as well, your land is truly your salvation providing everything you need best to stock up on seeds

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I was country raised and wish I could return to a rural environment. I raised my boys in the country and my oldest now has five acres, an earth bermed house qnd is working on getting solar and a back up generator. You are a great resource of knowledge as is Mrs. Kapper.

How long does a 1000 gallons of propane last and whats the cost? Wouldnt solar be cheaper in the long run and short run as well...

Great video. I only have a couple of acres but I am working to make them produce for me. I refuse to be one of the dumb masses wading through the chaos. Great video. Thanks Kapper.

Venison back up plan for me. Hope everyone is stocked up with what they need. Have been a few miles back in the woods in camp boiling sap. No China flu there 👍

Can’t have any of it without a gun protecting it though. Stock up on ammo if you want to keep it. Know you don’t have a problem with that there but your state does.

Yes, "Fuel" is a limiting factor. Like you indicated, some fuels have a shelf life so vehicles and equipment can become useless.
If the SHTF, I can think of a couple remedies to the fuel problem, convert your engines to run on LP or Processed Vegetable Oil?
