This is one of my older songs, re-made. It's actually one of my favorites I ever wrote, I made it for a good friend who went through some really bad times. Hope you enjoy it!

Just the knowledge that you wrote this for a friend, that one little detail without any other context, I dunno, maybe it's just me, but that adds an unending depth to this song. It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Just picturing what vague kind of troubles this person went through based on the info given in the song. And then these words, they're like a lighthouse in the fog. This song really gets me, Gav. I can see why it's one of your favorites.

Gav, I doubt you will see this but I still wanted to express that this song has gotten me through some tough times. There was a time where I was debating on whether or not it was worth it to live, yet this song kept me going.

Now I am in college pursuing a masters, I have a wonderful girlfriend who wants a future with me and a promising future ahead of me.

In the video recordings, it really seems like you're giving it your all. I imagine that you have a lot of vocal fry that sometimes you choose not to include in your recordings over smoother vocals. Let fly sometimes like near the end (and actually right at the end of the song to close) where there's just a slight tinge of it. Really adds another layer to your music. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but Man and Machine had that heavy "vocal fry" feel to the vocal track and it'd definitely work for how amped up you look in the video towards the end!

This song is great. It put me in the right frame of mind to overcome my addiction.

I was listening to it as I was leaving work, and as I was driving up to the road where turning one way was home, and the other was the city I was listening to this song. Then in the middle of the chorus my cassette adapter got ejected, and the radio was playing "Hello my name is" right in the middle of the chorus. If it hadn't been for this song I would be much worse off today.
