J’adore ces films anciens de sci-fiction. Ils sont tellement émouvants. Les effets spéciaux sont secondaires mais ces films sont naïfs comme il faut, authentiques et bien joués.

The actor that played Sessom was the oldest of the cast, born in 1883, and would pass only five years after this. Zetha, the brunette, played by Dolores Faith passed in 1990 at only 48. And best as I can tell, Merissa Mathes, one of the jurors, is still alive at age 84. I always find it interesting to look up cast from old movies. A bit of a reminder to live life while you have it to live.

I was already one and a half years old when this came out. Now, after seeing Liara and Zetha, I understand why I so much wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid! Great to see an old sci fi movie like this in our time one quarter of the way into the 21st Century.

Hard to believe that Liara was almost 40 years old when this movie was made, while Zetha was only around 20 years old, yet they both look as if they're almost the same age! RIP Coleen Gray, truly one of the most gorgeous actresses of the 50s and 60s.

I remember watching this on MST3K ages ago. One of my favorite black and white episodes, right up there with Samson vs the Vampire Women, and Viking Women and the Sea Serpent! Kinda creepy and cool seeing this in "color" and unedited. Liara is a 304 by the way. Zetha is a silent queen. The Solarite is a top G. 'Nuff said lol

2001: A Space Odyssey scene with the damaged air line on a space walk. The Star Trek scenes of mortal combat over a mate, the 'What are little girls made of' cave sets, the salt monster with it's suckers hypnotizing its victim, etc. Lotsa borrowed ideas from this movie used in later Sci-Fi.

Gotta give some props to production values from the opening scene. The ship interior looks shockingly good. It has that real cold war Military Controls look and feel. And I think they are using actual surplus air force g suits of the time. Even the chairs look legit.

I saw this movie as a young teen. Brings back some memories. Didn't know it's name, or if it still existed. Glad I got to see it again. Thank you.
