To my surprise and great joy, as it brought back many happy childhood memories, I recognized the place where much of this movie was filmed: the Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles. I never expected to see a familiar place in this classic SF film, and thanks very much for presenting it!

I have no words to thank You for showing this... exceptional, cult, document/movie in much improved viewing. Science-fiction? More science than fiction, to me. Very much more probably, I feel it is part of the many hidden truths. 👍👏

What a great scary science fiction-horror movie 🎥-a being from outer space crashes on the earth 🌎 wearing a suit with a helmet to help him breathe-when he removes it, he becomes invisible and evades authorities looking for him-he causes some havoc with his presence and when he is conc cornered-he dies and his body fades away! The cast of Ted cooper, Randolph anders, noreeen Noreen nash and James Seay and others make this movie 🍿 pretty good with their performances and it was a good show that’s better suited for Halloween 🎃 and I’m not kidding! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😅

At 45 min why didn't Clark Kent change into Superman? This is a pretty good movie though with a sympathetic approach about a close encounter directed by Billy Wilder's brother.

Another amusing thing is when Betty says, "Can't you say something, anything in any language?" It reminded me of some years ago when I was living in a foreign country and an American friend went to renew his residency card. Apparently there was a disparate group of other people there to do the same. He was disconcerted and told me that there were all these people who spoke no known language. American exceptionalism.

They said the suite was highly radioactive, yet when they brought it to the lab, they were handling it with their hands.

2:03 🎉🎉 "estimated speed: 5 thousand miles per hour..."
Why, that's 1, 000 miles per hour faster than the flying saucer flown by Klaatu !!
This calls for an investigation 🔎!

*Lela Nelson was very attractive and she had a great range of emotion. Only a true female woman could have fear and scream as she did yet had a caring feminine motherlike compassion for the creature which I think might have come from Mars or perhaps one of the moons of Saturn. I never heard of the Communications Commission which looks like it keeps a close observation of our night sky and this should give us reassurance that our security is in good hands. These guys use the latest equipment that seemed very advanced and, for this reason, the narration which explained what was going on was vital for a full understanding of the methodology used by federal agencies. I wonder if this story was based on an actual event.*

That pasty dog caused his death. The dog scared him, and prevented them from communicating with him.
