Sue Perkins reads Clarice Lispector's letter of advice

Born in what is now Ukraine in 1920, acclaimed novelist Clarice Lispector was still a child when she and her family emigrated to Brazil as a result of the Russian Civil War. She lived there for the majority of her life. In January 1948, she wrote to her sister with some advice.

To read this letter, Sue Perkins joined us at Letters Live at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2022.

Berna de Rio de Janeiro, as it is on the description, refers to: BERN, from. RIO DE JANEIRO. Probably that was inscripted in the mailing system back then.
