Ham radio operator here!  It warms my heart to see you guys talking about the Buzzer, I can sometimes here it from my station in Massachusetts.  (It's pretty difficult to here it from here, reception's a lot better over in Europe, and I guess Asia since it comes from Russia).  Just the same old thing, buzzing away... I've never heard the voice messages, but since it changed locations I've read that the voice messages are coming more often.  There are actually two other signals quite similar to this one, called "the Pip" and "the Squeaky Wheel, " which also broadcast repeating noises, which are a shorter beep and a series of two tones, respectively.  Both these stations also use voice messages, and some listeners have noticed that the messages from these two stations often occur very close together!  (I've even read that some have heard the sound of "the pip" in the background of "the squeaky wheel, " suggesting that they might come from the same location.)  These last two are a lot harder to here... I can here the pip occasionally, I've never heard the squeaky wheel.  I've read that these last two are more clearly military stations, having supposedly sent unencrypted messages clearly for military units in Russia.

This is very interesting stuff, guys!  There's all kinds of stuff to hear on shortwave, from international broadcast stations to airline communications to encrypted messages to spies to ham radio operators, and all kind of stuff that no one can explain!  You've gained more respect from me for making this video!

This is something that I have been studying for atleast 2 years now and still I can't get any leads on it. It is nice to see rhett and link listen to it and to read other people's thoughts on it. The most I can tell you is that it is a buzzer behind an open microphone and that it is almost always ctive and changes atleast every year or so.

The one that freaked me out most is the interruption on the Dr.Phill show.Just imagine watching tv, eating snacks, having the time of your life, when suddenly that man/woman, appears on your tv.😳
