PCM Hammer: Basic Overview Of Free LS Tuning Software

In this video, I cover some of the basics of using PCM Hammer which lets you program GM PCMs for free. With this software and Tunerpro you can do a full tune for free. It's more work than HP tuners or EFI live. PCM hammer is like LS droid. You can change vins, delete vats, turn on E fans and do full tunes. You can also clone PCMS.

Great video. Thank you so much. I have a program with changing my VIN. I did everything step by step, but for some reason the old VIN was still there. It would say “VIN has been successfully changed, but when I have the program to re-read the PCM the old VIN is still there. Can you please help me. Thank you so much. So to enable electric fans, i added in blue 42 and red 33 wires to trigger relays and then in tunerpro i changed TURN ON TEMPS to 99/103C and TURN OFF temps to 88. Is that suffcient to get them running properly? cuz there was alot of options to change.

Every time I go to read properties it says Vin query failed: Timeout it happens and 2 different obd2 plugs 2 different computers and 2 different pcms I’m not sure how to fix it

So just changing the VIN doesn't change anything else in the PCM, correct? I have an 05 silverado that had a bad pcm, I replaced it with one from a junkyard however the one from the junkyard came off of a 2004 and doesn't have electric fans programmed into it. If I were to put in the 2005 VIN would I still need to program in the electric fans?

Hi do you know if this works with the new version software on the obdlink lx version 5.6.19? I'm not able to use it with ls droid anymore. If pcmhammer will work with it ill go to it. Need to re flash a computer i have. Or if you might know how i can go to a older version of software? Thanks

Do you have to make a bench harness or can you use the factory wiring harness in the vehicle with the obd2 port?

You can now tune your LS ecm with your phone and it works for free???? Wow. I just got the HPVI2 and paid megga cash for it.
