They started out as a traditional bluegrass band. Rebecca played mandolin, Megan on banjo and dobro and a sister on fiddle. They had an upright bass and guitar. You wouldn't think those girls would become these women. Something happened along the way. Music just oozes from their pores. They are the real deal.

Well guys, this wasn't an original. The girls were covering an old Son House song. The do have a goodly number of originals, but they also pay homage to their blues forebears. These girls are the real thing.

Grammy nominated Larkin Poe are possibly the best live band around.

Their Grammy nominated album "Venom & Faith" is a masterpiece. It's one of those albums that has great songs, but it's even better if you listen to it start to finish as a single piece.
And if Megan Lovell ain't the Queen of lap steel, I don't know who is.
