my thing is just that Eliana admitted that she didn’t understand the topic and Yolanda tried to force her to think she did so she could get in the dance. I just think it was really disrespectful and insensitive to her friend to try to use them as a way to get ellie into a dance

this is so sad because eliana wasn’t crying over her friend or the dance. she was crying because her psycho mother made her do something she clearly was uncomfortable doing. i doubt the “friend” even exists

Elliana said to her mother she doesn’t fully understand the piece and for Yolanda to say yea you do is wrong. Elliana knew she wasn’t mature enough to understand or be in the piece.
