Last year when my potted mum starting looking done, late October, I did nothing to it and put it in the garage. When spring came, I noticed a bit of green so took out, cut it back, watered good and set it out where it would get plenty of sun. It is so beautiful this year. I live in central Iowa, zone 5.

I love the part about discounted flowers. As I am retired and do a lot of buying discounted flowers.

I searched for Mum care and your channel popped up very delightful this morning here in Tennessee I bought about 8 that are in pots and have never even had them. I'm very excited to try to care for them.

Almost all my plants are Lowe's nearly dead perennials! My plants all get "haircuts" and lots of water & sun. I have a bunch of yellow mums planted in ground. They have come back for the past 3 years & survived NYC wiinters. Thanks for your video!

I got a lot of mum's last year and I am still finding them in my borders. I've bought regular and clearance ones this year. They are a nice surprise at the end of the season and the bees love them. I live in Oregon, zone 8.

Zone 5, Iowa here..planted in the ground last fall and they came back🥰they're huge. Wintering put a thick layer of mulch and they came back. Enjoy my coffee and deadheading time. Love your video. 😁

I put mine in the basement by the door to get light all winter. I have one blooming for the third time this year. I didn't know I could prune them, so I will in the spring.

An employee told me about what I call “ the dead plant pile” at Lowe’s. Bargains galore and yes it takes a little work but it’s so worth it. I’ve had great success.

I love your down to earth attitude and knowledge. I immediately subscribed. I need as much help as I can get with mums. I'm good at growing everything except mums and azaleas.

Gonna really make a go of it for my mums...never before had them, I've read up on their care, made the investment on my limited budget bought 2 ...I do have a green and praying that all your advise, tips will help me to make a very nice fall decore in my little patio thru the fall, often I sit in my little patio space, enjoy the garden I created..now I thought I wanna decorate with those beautiful heaping round mums and enjoy this fall season with the beautiful colors they give along with my pumpkin and gourds display tucked here and there in my patio. Wish me luck....God bless you...and by the way your great !

Great video! I have several mums in ground and in pots. I have one that is 5 years old and went to deaths door twice. Lol it's been repotted 5 or 6 times but went in ground last spring. Now it's big and beautiful. I love how resilient they are. Thanks for reminding me I can get the discount ones. I forgot about that.
I usually pinch (prune) them all summer till July 4th and they come out full and bushy. I didn't do that this year and some of them look like crap. 😔
Live and learn.

YT recommended me this video - and it’s great! Bought 3 beautiful mums on sale. These tips will help me over winter them. Nobody taught me to amend the container plants but I did - worm castings, compost, dead leaves. Will do liquid fertilizer as I never did that before. Thanks so much !!!!
