I heard Todd White is lengthing Dr Brown’s ego.

It irritates me to no end when Brown and his ilk say those outside the Pentecostal/Charismatic don’t believe in healing and miracles. I 100% believe in healing and miracles. I’ve experienced both but not at a circus act of a church service preformed by a flamboyant prosperity “teacher”.

You can be as sincere as possible and still be wrong. I attended a Todd White “healing” service, had never heard of him before that, so had no preconceived ideas either way about Todd. I didn’t hear the Gospel, just an emotional message, and of all the people who came forward to be healed, and it was a LOT of people, and not one of them left healed as far as anyone could tell.

As a former Charismatic, I totally understand the Sam Storms and Michael Browns of the movement. They have ZERO interest in rooting out the false among them. It's a buzz kill for them. I can't count the number of times I heard stuff like, "Eat the meat; spit out the bones!", or, "Every real move of God has a lot of messy excess that you just have to overlook!". Says what part of the New Testament? True discipleship is hard work. It's takes dedication to study to show yourself approved. It takes a willingness to stand for truth in the face of being called divisive. It's uncomfortable to confront others who claim to be brothers, so they don't. They are more than happy to allow all the messiness because they don't want the party to stop. I think deep down they know they're wrong...I really do. I did! But they cannot bring themselves to the necessary place of repentance and humility that it takes to repudiate their past, lose their friends, and seek truth at all costs. Because it definitely comes with a cost. Been there; got the t-shirt.

Pride is at the root of this. Pride among those like Todd White who like to elevate themselves, even in false humility. Pride among those like Storms and Brown who double down every time they are presented with the truth.

Both roundtables did not age well for Sam Storms and Michael Brown. Their emphatic defense of Mike Bickle showed a terrible lack of discernment. I've wondered what a roundtable with both of them would look like now.
