How to read and plot HDF5 file in python ?

This video shows the reading and plotting of HDF5 files using h5py and matplotlib python library. The file used in the video is of INSAT-3D Sounder Level -2 which is freely available for download from the MOSDAC Website.

The Basic Steps Involved are :-
1. Locating the HDF file (import os) 00:45
2. Reading the HDF5 file (import h5py) 01:40
3. Squeezing, Cleaning and Reshaping ( import numpy as np ) 04:30

Hi Prateek, this video is exactly what I'm trying to do! However, when I try to convert to np.array I get a MemoryError: Unable to allocate 28.7 GiB for an array with shape (2920, 2635135) and data type float32. Is my data just too big to follow your methods? There isn't much documentation help for mapping with h5 files.
