A bit rusty from editing. But I think I polished it all up pretty nicely, eh? Anyways, welcome to the beginning of the adventures inside of Marcy's discoveries and lore from inside her own journal as seen from the show.

Yeah am so glad that they given us some context to Marcy and Sasha’s families especially Sasha’s with the Divorce family issues that makes sense!

And while it would’ve been great to see at least a flashback scene of that onscreen it’s still feels better knowing it in Marcy’s Journal than not at all.

Amphibia is still a great show (and Again Thank You Matt Braly for giving us this amazing series) but GODDAMN could it have benefited from seeing Sasha and Marcy’s lives on earth ON SCREEN instead of “Filler” episodes focusing on Anne and the Plantars and frog shenanigans whilst giving the two interesting girls limited screentime.

This makes so much sense. I really like Sasha and this really flesh out her character.

Sasha, having divorced parents, which the series implied in the Amphibia Christmas episode, would have been enough to explain her control issues and even how she acted out before going to Amphibia, but the additional information from Marcy's journal does explain more on Sasha's issues. She not only had her parents divorced at either the age of 4 or 5, but Sasha had to deal with the fact that her dad remarried and her mother had a boyfriend who had kids. It's no wonder Sasha felt like she had to be in control. Sometimes, when people are put into situations outside their control, they try harder to control things that they think that they can control, especially if it matters to them. It even explains why Sasha seemed so upset with Anne for wanting to go back to her parents during her birthday, possibly to the point that Sasha can be considered jealous of Anne for having loving parents. We also learn that despite Anne being aware of Sasha's situation with her parents, Sasha was private about her personal life, which would explain why they were aspects of Sasha that she couldn't relate to.or understand. I honestly felt that if Anne was able to understand, she wouldn't have gone so far as to try to kill Sasha during the events of true colors, even with Sasha's betrayal. Anne would have still tried to stop Sasha, though.

2:14 First time we see both Marcy’s and Sasha’s Parents we heard Marcy’s Parents Voices in True Colors Which made me cry when I first saw That episode.

Makes a lot of sense. When both sides of the family seem to have forgotten you and moved on, but you are "required" to be tossed from one to the other like 2 kids fighting over a toy, kinda makes you feel like an object.
Being left growing cold and only having selfish feelings and control over others to base relationships on is obviously the viewpoint one would be left with...

I can relate one of the reasons was Sasha is my favorite was that my parents divorced when I was 2 years old.

1:30 So Sasha has possible step-siblings, it would have been nice if we saw them in Season 3, but I’m okay with what we got.

Yeah it makes sense why she acts the way she does. Is it right no but with more context now it’s like yeah understandable why she doesn’t want people to leave her.
