Drive (Movie) - Chase between Ford Mustang GT 5.0 & Chrysler 300C

Drive is an American thriller by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn from the year 2011, which was his debut as a Hollywood director with the film adaptation of the eponymous novel by James Sallis.
In Germany the film opened on 26 January 2012 in the cinemas.

To all the idiots in the comment section, the movie made it crystal clear the 300c was keeping up with the mustang no problem. No SRT, no modification was apparent, no excuses. They shot the film with a car(300) that was a worthy adversary to the mustang, THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE SCENE, was the mustang was in "trouble" . Srry not srry to the mustang fanboys.

Let's talk about that modified E-brake in the mustang. I've gone through 3 mustang's and none of them reacted like that 😂

Yeah a 5.0 Ford would smoke a 2.7 or 3.5 or 3.0 crd 300c and a vast majority of these cars had one of these three engines. 6.1 srt is a different beast, this looks like a 5.7, probably pre-eagle. Still a v8 easily capable of ~400 hp at the crank with simple mods (and around 350 stock). Weight wise, Ford is probably 200-300 lbs lighter, which is not that much considering both of these are 2000lbs+. Bottom line, while a 5.0 mustang would pull away from a basic 300c no issue, a 300c with a v8 is a different story and would come down to the skill of the driver, AS SHOWN IN THE SCENE.

An srt8 would probably beat the mustang in the 30-100 mph zone. After that the higher revving 5.0 would be out. The 300 in this video isnt the srt8 unfortunately, the 5.7 would not keep up with the 5.0.

Well the 5.0 would walk away from the 300C, but not an SRT. The older 4.6 GT wouldn't even keep up with a regular 300C
