Diabetes is the leading cause of amputation of the lower extremity. Most amputations are preceded by a foot ulcer. In this video I explain the two main reasons this occurs, peripheral arterial disease and peripheral neuropathy.

I have diabetes and some neuropathy in my feet. I check my feet every day. After seeing some of these videos where you or whomever treating an ulcer on the foot, I know I don't want that. Thanks for informing us. This is great information.

Thank you Doc. Your video is very informative. We are a family of diabetic. Two brothers and sisiter of my father amputate their feet. My father also experienced feet problem but thankful his feet did not amputate. I am also diabetic and very familiar on the how to take of it.
