Yes! Abandon the whole city. You reap what you sow.

Blame the politicians in the cities who support destroying Minneapolis.

It's comical they are trying to spin this as a Covid reaction 😆😁🤣

Only dozens? I'm guessing that's because hundreds, if not thousands already decided to leave.

Minneapolis downtown Nicollet Mall is the home of where many of city’s homeless hang out. The Nicollet Mall is the main street of downtown major retail and office space and is the “main show” street for downtown is. Adjacent streets are totally avoid of people and many buildings are boarded up. At night, gangs come in and take control of downtown. No police officers are welcome! Same with the Uptown trendy neighborhood. It was once a neighborhood of up and comers use to live and have fun. It’s stores and restaurants are most boarded up too. It is void of foot traffic and only cars are passing these streets in Uptown. People who once came to Minneapolis from the suburbs avoid it now! Local MSM avoid coverage of the city’s condition and are focus on the pandemic topics: going back to school, new rules from the politicians, blaming Trump, etc...

Local gun shops and major farm type stores have all ran out of firearms. Minneapolis has a restriction on gun shops and does has not have a gun shop since the one on Lynndale Avenue South close in the late 1980s, The city is less 100 officers who either quit or went on disability and have been already understaffed before the riots took place. Many other officer are rumor to be quitting the force in the next month. I guess there is a proceed that takes that amount of time to complete.

We are in the “dark ages” in the city of Minneapolis and does not look like it is going to be getting any better over time. Wealthy home owners in the Uptown are turning to privately generated sales according to realtors I know who work that area so no MLS listings and no lawn signage. Businesses of all sorts are gone or are planning to move out to a more stable and safe environment.

All up in the City Of Minneapolis: crimes, murder, unemployment, homelessness, taxes, people moving out of the city.

Looting, violent crimes, carjacking, assaults, general lawlessness along with trend to lower police budgets and to defund the police; boarded up store fronts makes the city of Minneapolis a big draw for people and businesses to be wanting to moving into Minneapolis! Expect a big property, sales tax hike soon too. What not to like?

Minnesota brought this on themselves.
Own it. They will be the new Detroit

Makes 100% sense. No police to prevent robberies, why have a business there. To serve and protect is the thing of the past. Only option would to allow business owners the right to carry and have unrestricted rights to protect their patrons and business.

It wouldn't be so bad if people were allowed to defend themselves

The problem is also: overtaxation. On my 3 residential utility statements which I receive monthly are 5 taxes/“fees.” Who would want to be in business in Minneapolis when there are so many taxes?

I wouldn’t go to a business there if they paid me!

What's the point of having a business here when the people are coming into your store more likely to steal than buy something

People don't want to go downtown when they see roving bands of homeless and mentally ill people on nicollet Mall. Have you watched the news lately? Who wants to go and spend any time down there? Not me!
