These Yamahas r1 had power in mid and down rpm power that's why these r1 are track bike killer. Take corner smoothly and leaves fast but doesn't have good top end power that's why straight lines track Ducatis, s1k, zx10r, Honda could win. But in track that has many sharp corner or big round corner these Yamahas would be faster

The new blades only weakness, its tall geared but top end is fast as fook, also that r1 has an extended swing arm which is helping its accelerate much quicker upto at least 150 I'd say, great video and great race 🏁

I have been planning to gear my zx14r for more top speed, the opposite direction people usually go in. I see here the R1 was geared for top. See how the fireblade pulls the R1 until it starts running out of gear. I'd bet the blade was geared for short pulls, to beat people through the gears. I just wanted a more relaxed engine speed at 75 mph, . But damn, this looks fun.
