How To Stop Your Dog Pulling On The Leash Quickly. A golden retriever case came through the centre with extreme pulling and I wanted to help you learn how to stop your dog pulling on the leash quickly and easily just like this case.

Here on Will Atherton Canine Training we make videos about man’s best friend so if this is your first time here don’t forget to subscribe! These videos are made and aimed at adults in a stage of their life to purchase or adopt a dog, we want to help them choose the right breed and become excellent canine leaders to help end the number of dogs that end up in shelters.

My 2yr old lab X walked great with me then i got diagnosed with breast cancer and while going through treatment my brother was walking him he now pulls on the lead non stop. I'm still having treatment but not as harsh as before so am getting back to walking him myself and will def be trying your method. Thanks Will.

I wish I could’ve seen this months ago. My goldendoodle pulls a lot due to excitement. You explain it so well

EXCELLENT advice, Will! I’ve always wondered how some dogs have learned how to pay such rapt attention to their handlers. I thought it had to do with the breed. Thanks for the outstanding video!

Lovely video! 05:03 - very important message. Non-stop, forever. Once you set rules, you have to carry them thru the dogs life. All-tho you can brake the rules if necessary and the rules are clear to the dog ;)

That's brilliantly explained. Thank you!
I'll be doing this method with my Swiss Shepherd.
Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much for this! I am training my dog/puppy to be a service dog and he's amazing at most things but he's "reactive" to other dogs--like this dog he wants to say hi and greet every dog he sees; often whining (at best) and frequently pulling and/or lunging. Can't wait to get out into the yard and start working on this.

This is great! I'm one month into the Perfect Puppy Course and loving it! Thank you for explaining this in detail. You're going to help a lot of dogs and people!

Great video, my spaniel has exactly this problem, such a good dog apart from lead walking, he will heal next to me off lead but as soon as I clip it on he’s like a rocket! Training starts tomorrow!

Hope you leg gets better soon, looks painful 😅

great video! Assuming you suffered an achilles rupture since you're using a vacoped boot? 7 months post surgery for me ... there is a light at the end of the tunnel! (there is also a light that never goes out-Morrissey/Marr 😉)

The first and last dog training Youtuber I will need to watch. You explain things clearly, thoroughly and its easy to apply. I'm getting my first puppy in 2 months and I was looking for clear instructions on how to do things like potty training and lead pulling (and the rest). I'm glad that I found your channel first as I now don't need to cycle through a million channels. :)

I bought a head collar off Amazon and it works right away! I fell 3 times from my dog pulling. I saw the dogs wearing a head collar at the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan show. So I got it and no more pulling.

Wow!...perfect timing and so well explained. 3 weeks ago, I adopted a 9-mo old rescue Rat Terrier mix and he does better when we are alone ...until he sees a bird or dog, etc., then he's very leash reactive. I look forward to trying this method as explained ...and Ben did a fantastic job as the handler. Thank you both!

Hello Will, greetings from Germany first and all my wishes for your fast recovery! What you showed here is so much what I will use tomorrow with my three years old Labrador. I learned so much from this video. I will report, how it worked 👍😘🌞🍀🐾🐾

Your videos get better and better Will! Props to the editor! Also I have an 8 month old golden retriever, it's like I'm watching her at the beginning of the video, she's just going crazy when she sees anything outside the house, makes going for a walk quite the challenge.

OMG that is just like my staff cross. She is just like that dog on a lead and it IS DEFINITELY my fault. This is amazing and so simple. Starting this tomorrow morning, this is what I'm doing, before she has me over. Hope your leg is better x
