I thought it’s to cool down for the sake of the battery 😂

I was hoping you would explain whether or not the overheat protection turns itself off after the cabin temperature gets back below the trigger temperature. I also wanted to know about turning it off and on from the phone app. For it to work does the phone app have to have both the Climate setting on AND the Cabin Over Heat Protection setting on, OR can I leave Climate OFF and just put cabin over heat on?

You need to enable Sentry mode from Security and drivers tab in order for Cabin overheat protection to work. Be aware of Sentry mode will stop working whenever your battery drops below 20% thereby disabling the Cabin overheat protection. Also it takes 15 minutes after you exit the car and have sentry mode on for the word "Cabin overheat protection" show up on your app confirming it is working ! There was no warning on my app whatsoever even when my cabin interior went up to 143 degrees !!! It sucks !

My Overheat protection does not seem to work all of a sudden. I have the app set to 90F and I am seeing temps up to 125F+. This wasnt the case a few months ago. Do you know what the problem could be? I am over 50% battery, I parked less than 8 hours ago, the app is set to on..

I use this religiously, nothing is worse than a getting an unwanted sauna ☺️ (I’m aware I can prep the car ahead of time but I always forget to do that)
