If your Model 3/Y Cabin Overheat Protection (COP) would not turn on because it's too hot:
1. Turn off Sentry Mode
2. Using app, enable Cabin Overheat Protection (toggle to ON)
3. Set to 95 degrees F (100 F saves energy, but 95 works better. You can set to 100 F later when working)
4. Vent windows using app (this is optional, but recommended on very hot days)
5. Turn on AC using app and cool the cabin for a few minutes (wont work if cabin/monitor is already too warm)
6. Turn off AC using app at 75 F (setting a low temp gives COP time to kick in before temp exceeds 95 F)
7. Using app, check if COP is working (app should display "Cabin Overheat Protection")
* If COP is active and working properly, the temp should not go beyond 5 degrees of the trigger temperature.
Give this comment a thumbs-up if it works for you.

I have it set to "off" on the car screen itself and in the mobile app, but it keeps turning itself on to LO at a 5 a/c speed. Any ideas on how to keep it forcibly off?

So if you are using Cabin Overheat Protection "with A/C", I assume the cooling is turned on when the temp exceeds your set temp and attempts to cool the car down to the set temp and then turns off. BUT, if you select 'fan only' when does it turn on since the temp selector disappears when you select the fan only option. Is there a lower temp limit at which the fan will turn off when a temp is reached?
Thanks for your helpful videos!

Thanks. I was wondering what it did on no ac. I’d like to have the option to vent the windows at 100. If it can tell when it’s raining for the wipers then I’d think it could for this. Living in north Florida though 100 is kinda low lol. This makes more sense than the keep or dog setting for me though. I’ll lose a lot of range keeping the cabinet 81 during our summers.

Anyone else having issues with their overheat protection just not working? All of the sudden it’s just not activating. First it was just my wife’s car, now mine is doing the same. It’s really irritating when the app controls just don’t work
