I was hoping for an explaination of the actual equations

Given an initial velocity, say 1200 ft/sec, fired at an angle theta, from a given elevation, say 5ft, and hits the ground at a distance of 100 yards. At what angle should this projectile be fired? This is enough information to solve for the angle but your calculator does not do it. I'll spend some time on it this week but it looks like the solution would be trial and error (unless the elevation is zero).

How we use any formula so we found its graphics so easy to predict that universe's which are written in the Hindu literature which are infinity in counting
