Concept of this budget;
we can stop contributing to EPF/VPF/PPF and other schemes as there is no exemption in the new tax regime. Not going to take a home loan since there is no exemption for home loan interest.
No HRA exemption for those who are in the rental home.
No exemption for life and health insurance premiums, so no need to take insurance for self and also for parents.
Just spend, spend and pay more indirect tax (GST).
