In this Madan Gowri video, we will be discussing Meta by Facebook and Metaverse. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, announced yesterday that the company is changing its name to ‘Meta’. The parent company, which acts as an umbrella over the Facebook app, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus, is an attempt to focus the platforms on building the “metaverse” – a collection of augmented reality and virtual reality software that Mr. Zuckerberg hopes will work in harmony with real-world and other social media apps like Snapchat, Instagram, Whatsapp, and Twitter.

Slowly people started getting addicted to FB and spent more hours in online and started to skip in person meeting or spending real time with friends. If the meta concept come to reality, then, it will only worsen the social skills of humans. The amount of resources for implementing meta is enormous and in that race humans will lose their original identity.
