DRACULA by Bram Stoker | FULL AUDIOBOOK Part 1 of 3 | Classic English Lit. UNABRIDGED & COMPLETE

Welcome to the first installment of my full Dracula audiobook : unabridged & complete : Part 1 of 3 (chapter 1 - 10). Dracula by Bram Stoker (1897), a classic piece of English Literature, here read & produced by me, Steven Garnett. Although "Gothic Literature" & "Vampire Horror" this is a story of love, friendship and strength in the face of adversity; a truly beautiful piece!
- I read in "British English" (born in Yorkshire, northern England) but all narration in this book is in the form of character performances, not my native voice, as there is no "narrator" as such. That said, of the main cast Jonathan Harker is closest.
Musical interludes are Toccata and Fugue in D minor by J.S. Bach on piano by Stefano Ligoratti (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0) 👇 chapter timestamps below!

DO NOT MISS PART 2 & PART 3!

Dracula has been an absolute pleasure to narrate, I am so impressed with Stoker's exhilarating and surprisingly modern writing. I feel silly for never having read this book until now. It is easy to form a preconception of what you think a book will be like, particularly a story and character so famous, a character too that is so often parodied. For me becoming immersed in the original writing has brought new life to this most iconic of vampires.

- I so hope you enjoy it too! -

Feel free to take a minute to share your thoughts, feelings and favourite moments!

-------------------------------------------------

So again thank you for listening! I hope you're having a wonderful experience with a magical story.

After Dracula what would you like to hear next from me?

Leave a comment with suggestions, try my other audiobooks and videos,
and I'll read to you soon!

I work in IT, I’m glued to the computer screen 11 hours a day. I carve out time after work to walk 2 miles in the woods every night to clear my head. I struggle to find something to listen to that keeps my attention, often finding myself going through like 20 videos trying to find the perfect one. I randomly found this reading tonight, started it on my walk, and listened to the first 40 minutes absolutely entranced. I can’t wait for my daily walk over the next many days while I work through the seven hours of this reading. Thanks dude. It’s absolutely pitch perfect.

I really appreciate your reading. It feels professional without being overly produced, and you can hear the pages turning. It reminds me of how people used to sit around and read to each other for entertainment, and now we're doing it on Youtube. This is one of those books that I have always wanted to read but haven't gotten around to it. Thanks so much for taking the time to make something enjoyable but not mind-numbing like so many things on Youtube.

Im well late to the party, but I’m finally pursuing college at 25 and my English 102 class is on Dracula. With 2 kids and a full time job, actually reading the book is almost impossible but Ive been able to throw your reading on and am excelling in class. You’re a lifesaver and have a great skill at this.

This isn't somebody just reading a book.

This is someone telling a story.

This isn't an audiobook. This is sitting with a new friend and enjoying a book together.

Utterly sublime, it's truly balm for a troubled soul in the complete and utter raging thunderdump that is current world/year

Bram Stoker's Dracula is the greatest love story. Thank you for giving this reading your heart, soul, and talent!

I really like the pages, natural reading sounds like occasional clearing throat, etc and “air” .. it doesn’t sound like a reading in a sterile vacuum

This is by far one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened to. It feels real, like someone actually telling an account of the tale of Dracula.

I'm a stickler for pronunciation, and I appreciate all the different regions and their inhabitants getting their proper names said. Thanks.

Just listened to the first chapter, great reading ♥️♥️♥️ I read somewhere many years ago, that when Stoker was asked how the idea of "Dracula" had come to him, he said that he had bad crab salad in a restaurant in Whitby, and, as everyone knows, bad crab salad inevitably gives you nightmares.
