Today, we review and drive the Aptera Gamma Solar EV. This prototype is capable of 400 miles range while generating 40 miles a day from the sun. In theory, one can expect 11,000 miles generates a year from the sun.

This is what real EV's should be like. Efficient, aerodynamic, self charge top-up. Not some power hungry speed monstrosity. So much better for the environment because it's not needing huge batteries and big heavy motors.

Great Aptera overview and test drive, well done! It's cool that you took noise level measurements. My wife and I have been Aptera order holders and investors since November of '21 and cannot wait to be behind the yolk of our very own!!

Great brief. I too enjoyed “ your back up experience, the decibel comparison Tesla ( production ) vehicle to this Gamma ( development ) vehicle. The next vehicle is Production Intent (PI) so will show us reality and with a CPC formed body and road dampening, etc. I assume the full solar and production battery pack…The real deal ! The steering will be adjustable too in the PI . Double density foam seats too… It should be sweet! Crash testing an autocycle too ! Game changer!

I hope Aptera really makes their mark in the automotive industry. The design & price point is better than any other EV on the market right now. The 250 Range model is only $25, 900 compared to other EV's are over $40, 000 or more $$$. I could easily drive the 250 Range as my daily driver. I commute 50 miles round trip to work 5 days a week and this car would really work for my use. For your average working class American this is priced well below others on the market. Most people who commute to work drive by themselves in a huge SUV gas hogg. Aptera will be a huge influencer for future EV's

Great video well done! Love seeing you getting into the back. The first production car will not have that beautiful hatch window. I can only hope that the 2001 car will be available with a glass rear hatch window.

Not sure I can see how or where they could possibly put a 100kwh battery required for the 1000mile version. They are also using 2 or 3 hub motors (depending on spec) supplied be Elaphe, hub motors are materially less efficient than traditional on-board motors with a reduction gear.

I am seeing all the claims coming from the Aptera CEO but we are not seeing any independent verification. Until I see someone independent take one out on a road trip and charge it at a supercharger and see the actual Wh/mi and range I will remain highly sceptical.
