This two-seat, three wheeled car looks more like a flying machine, especially when you open its doors. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1:46 literally the opposite. Normal size, massive carrying capacity and also why would lightweight be a downside?

I'm going to buy it. Thank you for advertising it.😊

The "researcher" says, "very small": Aptera is slightly larger than a Prius. The "researcher" says "limited carrying capacity": Aptera has 25 cubic feet of cargo capacity. (A Toyota Camry has 15.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity). The "researcher" says "very light weight": Aptera weighs 2200 lbs. (A Mazda Miata weighs 2300 lbs.) So, there's that...

This looks absolutely amazing! Especially since most commuters don't usually drive alone and around that range!

The "researcher" could have done some basic homework like reading the specs at the least?

Its meant to be a daily driver/commuter to and from work.

That researcher was patently incompetent

The Aptera is designed to be an around town car. The question is “when will they go into production”? I’ve been watching their videos for almost 3 years and still no Aptera and the price has gone up almost 10k for the base model.

In Southern California this car is perfect, 88°F sunny on Christmas day and 50°F at night 😮

"Limited cargo" 😂? You can sleep in the back of that thing. It's huge.

If you can't get solar to charge the car, you can buy the car without the solar panels. Just the car being so efficient due to its light weight and amazing aerodynamics already puts it ahead of all other EV competitors.

I like that they use super efficient hub motors. I wonder if they could put solar on the rear hatch. More solar and getting more than 40 would even be better. Also, when do they come out? Then, will there be an Aptera dealer in the Chicagoland area for me to test drive it before I buy?

Question: will the launch edition do 0 to 60 in 4 seconds? If not, what version is Chris talking about?

This car has to be plugged in. The solar panels help out a little. Aptera's are very cool. I just don't understand telling people that don't know about the product, that they only need sunshine.

Wow, do I ever have a long list of things I can do with my empty garage...

This car has been supposed to go into production for years now and still hasn't showed up on the market. Why didn't you tell your audience that...?

All you need is la wireless fusion reactor to make it run.

Lots of Comments made good points re cargo capacity, vehicle weight and other erroneous issues the reporter mentioned.
They over emphasized the solar aspect.
Yes, the Aptera will be one of the first, if not first, vehicle available to consumers with built In solar charging that gives you non trivial added miles.
That said, with enough solar panels on your property and or stowed on an EV suv, truck, any ev can be solar charged.
But Aptera needs nothing extra to get you a free min 10+ miles per day for free, probably 20+ on average.
With Apteras huge rear cargo, a folded array of panels or stack of panels could be carried and set up when you park at home, work, camp for perhaps 100+ miles of charge per day.
The real Big Deal for Aptera is its ridiculously high aero and rolling efficiencies, resulting in long range with relatively small battery capacities.
Be cool to see someone drive the 1000 mile version from Detroit to Florida nonstop on one full charge

It would be even cooler if it can attach a trail full of solar panel with solar tracker.
