1) those are earPADS, not earcups. earcup is the outer shell.
2) for those saying you can get a headset for 10 bucks, yes while it is true, none of them are any good, and I would personally highly recommend investing more into a good one, sth like an mh751 will do well. If you've got a bigger budget and still using a headset, grab a pair of good headphones - no mic - (eg. akg k361, nth100, k371, he400se, etc.) and a dedicated mic setup such as xm8500 + m track solo or minifuse 1.
3) Brainwavz makes universal pads that are relatively inexpensive and are quite decent quality, just note that it will change how your headphones or headset sounds.
